“Morning.” Rebecca came downstairs to see her son already loading up his X-Box.
“Morning.” He took his seat on the couch.
“Not going out today?”
“Yeah.”
That was rare. Especially nowadays—it seemed like Chase had everything and anything to do. “I’m going to the store later. Want me to get anything?” She grabbed her purse.
“We’re out of chips. I also need some more toothpaste.”
“Okay…So, I’m also going to go visit Tip…”
Chase wanted to freeze, but tried to be nonchalant to it. “…Oh, tell her I said hi.”
“It’d be better if you told her in person.”
